A New Brain is a show about making the most out of life in the face of tragedy. When a neurotic, frustrated composer is confronted with a terminal illness, he must decide how to use what little time he may have left, and deal with the regrets of a life not fully lived.

The show is in fact the William Finn’s autobiographical account of his own battle for life when he was afflicted with a seemingly terminal illness. And while a written synopsis conveys heavy content matter, this is a laugh-out-loud, toe-tapping musical, teeming with both the "heart and music" for which the theme song calls.   The central characters struggle come to terms with the threat of tragedy, and ultimately find salvation and a second chance in the healing power of art.

Please note - this show contains some adult language and themes.
